Summer Program - 2025
Summer Registration is open
Westwinds is pleased to offer 4 summer programs! All programs run for 6 weeks starting the week of July 14, 2025. Last rehearsal is the week of August 18, 2025 culminating with a concert on Thursday, August 21, 2025 for Jazz, Choir and Concert Band. Chamber Strings final concert date is to be determined. Fees are $140.00 per 6 week Program for Jazz, Choir and Concert band. $195 for Chamber Strings.
Summer Jazz : people registering for Rhythm (keyboards, bass, guitar and percussion) are on a first come-first served basis. People registering are waitlisted then notified if there is a spot available. If there is a spot available, you will be sent an invoice to pay for your registration.
Chamber Strings: people are automatically waitlisted upon registration. Once registration has closed, you will be assigned to a group based on instrumentation, skill level and preferred day (if specified). Once assignments have been completed, you will be moved to the appropriate group and be sent an invoice to pay for your registration. Please note that there is a cap of 32 registrants.

Jazz Band - Summer

We're looking forward to playing Pop music this summer. The level of the music will range between grade 2 and grade 4 but all levels are welcome to join us. Note that there IS a rehearsal on holiday Monday, August 4, 2025

It’s summer pop time! Whether you are a regular member of a Westwinds Concert Band or perform elsewhere, or are looking for a place to get back into playing, come and join us for 6 weeks of summer playing. Tunes from musicals, jazz standards, movie and TV music, songs from the radio and any way we can interpret pop, this is the summer for fun and entertaining music.

Chamber Strings - Summer

A new concept to Westwinds this year, Chamber Strings are intended to consist of trios and quartets depending on instrumentation and skill level. Each group will rehearse for 55 minutes on either Wednesday or Thursday with a clinician. Due to the small size of each group, attendance to each rehearsal is very important. The final concert date is on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
