Hey singers! Have you always wanted to try your hand at singing jazz? Well, now is your chance!
This course will focus on the fundamentals of jazz singing, including styling and improv (scat singing). In order to recognize good styling and that which we want to emulate, listening will be a major component of the course. There are so many amazing vocal jazz artists to inspire us!
Through the use of iReal Pro (the “Music Book and Backing Track” app), each participant will choose one of the recommended jazz standards and be coached through the process of learning, memorizing, styling and scat singing. Be prepared to perform your tune for the whole group!
The art of jazz can be a satisfying and fun experience for singers; I hope you’ll join me for the journey!
