We all "hear" music throughout our day. Grocery shopping, waiting, "on hold", the radio in the car, the tunes we love, movies and TV shows. What is it that captures us? How can we learn to listen in ways we have not yet explored? To hear and understand beyond the surface? How does listening inform and impact our own performance?

This interactive course will delve into these ideas in a variety of musical genres and with input from the class.
