Bronze Concert Band will build upon our fall session and meet for 12 weeks where we will cover the Bronze Band curriculum of theory, scales and musicianship as well as working on some music virtually in small groups and/or section master classes in preparation of the day when we can play live together again! We will culminate this 12-week session with a virtual Bronze Band virtual performance. This may include small chamber group pieces and/or large ensemble pieces. New members who can play at a grade 3 level or above are welcome!

** Virtual Performance: Due to the extraordinary amount of time required to compile this, there will be an additional charge of $10/person for participating in the virtual performance. If you wish to be part of this recording project, please choose the additional Bronze Concert Band Virtual Recording Session (link will open in a separate tab/window) when registering.

Recommended for instrumentalists who play at a grade 3 level of higher

Some testimonials from past Bronze Band participants:

“The online band experience has surpassed all my expectations. Chris has done an excellent job of using available technologies to provide well-balanced sessions.

What a joy it is to play with others!! I love Westwinds!”

We acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Îyâxe (Stoney) Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
