Fees & Registration

Although Westwinds Music Society is a not-for-profit organization, the majority of its activities are funded through Member Fees.

The 2011-2012 Fee Structure is as follows:

Annual Membership: $40 (This is a non-refundable Annual Society membership fee)
Choirs: $380 (September-May)
Concert Bands: $380 (September-May)
Jazz Bands: $420 (September-May)
Additional Choir or Concert Band $190
Additional Jazz Band $210

Refunds will not be issued after

September 30, 2011 for the Fall sessions (September-December)
or
January 15, 2012 for the Spring sessions (January-May)

The Annual Society Fee is non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective with the 2007/2008 Season Westwinds will no longer offer a two-payment option when registering online. To continue to pay in two-part installments (September & January), you will need to continue to use the printable registration form and either mail or fax your registration.

We request that Fees are paid by the third rehearsal of the Season.

What Is PayPal?
Westwinds has selected Paypal as our credit vendor of choice for your convenience and security. PayPal accepts most credit card payments. PayPal, the trusted leader in online payments, enables buyers and businesses to send and receive money online. PayPal has over 153 million member accounts in 190 markets and 18 currencies. It is accepted by merchants everywhere, as well as online and offline transactions performed on eBay.

Is it safe to use?
PayPal helps protect your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is never shared with Westwinds. As stated on the PayPal website: The security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of their business and their top priority. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest commercially available). Before you even register or log in to their site, their server checks that you are using an approved browser, one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Their servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is only available to authorized computers.

American Express & Discovery Card Purchases:
American Express and Discovery card purchases will be submitted in U.S. Dollars (USD) by Paypal to the credit card companies regardless of the currency of the card in PayPal. It is advisable for Canadian buyers to pay with Visa, Mastercard, or a Paypal account to avoid possible extra currency exchanges between USD and CAD. Westwinds Music Society will not be held responsible for any CAD differences arising from the use of American Express or Discovery cards.

Still not comfortable with online payments?
If you prefer not to pay online please download our Registration Form print, complete and send along with payment to our Office. You can only pay by Cheque, Money Order or Visa when using this form. MasterCard, American Express and Discover cannot be used.
