Summer Program Summer Program 2010 Westwinds Summer Program is a user-pay program open to all Westwinds members. Non-members are also be encouraged to join. There is an opportunity to try a new musical experience in Choir, Concert Band and Jazz Band. Participants should be prepared to attend all sessions and be available for invitation performances. Upstairs in Sanctuary. CONCERT & JAZZ BANDS: Six Consecutive weeks - Tuesday, August 3 - September 7, 2010 (Concert Band), Thursday, July 29 - September 2, 2010 (Jazz Band)  Location: McDougall United Church, 8516 Athabasca Street SE Tuesday: Concert Band Director: Pat MacFarlane Thursday: Jazz Band Director: Mike Sakatch Concert Band Music will include 5-6 pieces at approximately Intermediate 2.5-3.5 grade level. Jazz Band Levels will be assessed according to sign-up and instrumentation. Junior players who are new to jazz styles should be at Blue Concert (2.0) grade level. Some performances may be arranged. Music will be handed out at the first rehersal.
