September 2007 - Welcome to the 20th
performing season of the Westwinds Music Society!
Incorporated in October of 1988 Westwinds celebrates
their 20th Season starting in September and culminating
with a Celebration weekend in May, 2008. Many activities
are planned. Watch our website for more announcements
and information on our 20th Anniversary Celebration!
March 2007 - Westwinds is thrilled to
announce the results of our participation in the 2007
Alberta International Band Festival. All 6 Westwinds
groups that entered the Festival received a Gold Award,
and the Westwinds Jazz Orchestra was named the Most
Outstanding Community Jazz Band receiving the Eric Friedenberg Trophy!
We are exceptionally proud of all of our Members and
their outstanding efforts at this year's Festival.

pleased to announce that effective the 2006-2007 Season
we will be holding our Annual Christmas Concert at the
Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
We believe that this change of venue will be a
positive change for Westwinds as we continue to grow and
evolve as a learning and performing music organization.
The layout of the Jubliee Auditorium facility will allow
us to be more flexible and to try new structural
elements without compromising quality.
